How to pray or speak to God or Allah, Dao, Jehovah or Ishvara. What is the best prayer

Well sometimes people ask if praying makes sense and if it does, how to pray. Well lets take some time to look at the old human pactice of praying, speaking to God (Allah, Dao, Ishvara, Jehovah). Of course praying makes sense. The most important in my opinion is of course to always be nice, loving and caring which is the direct “will of God” (read the online spiritual and religious self development course first that you find under Spirituality). But praying still is something useful and of worth. But what to pray? Well there is an interesting prayer from the christian religion. Most cristians will know the “our father” prayer. But did you know that this prayer is said to be invented personally by Jesus? Jesus invented it and told the people to pray like this and then later it was written down in the bible. For the bible is a collection of religious things that happened in the culture it comes from. This “our father” prayer is even today one of the best things to pray. It somehow explains an attitude towards Ishvara (Jehovah, Dao). Even though I usually dont’t pray fixed prayers. I use to say my prayers as if I would just try to speak to Allah. But I rarely pray. Because I always think: Allah is a higher instances that holds everything and does everything so that it is going to be perfect for me. What should I ask to change with my little knowlege. But of course I want to carry the wish to change the world for the better and myself being more nice. Thats why I tend to only ask for things and myself to get nicer. And for the rest I try to get nicer everyday. But the said prayer from the christian religion is very interesting at least to understand. And it goes like this.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Don’t think that with this old speach it might work as a magic formula. It is a prayer. A plea to Jehovah. Understand these old wording for what they would mean in modern sentences. The prayer is translated in many languages so you can search the net for a version in your language.

If I pray then I pray something like this.

God you decide everything. It is to my advantage that you decide everything. Please help me to be good, nice, loving and caring.

This is not a fixed sentence. If I pray I pray something like this.

You have to be healthy and you need to eat in order to be able to be caring. So praying for your own health or the health of others and praying for food for everyone is also a good prayer.

Praying is not stupid. But remember the most important thing is to do the will of Ishvara (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva) by being solely nice, loving and caring. This will make yourself the best that you can be.
